Every Monday and Thursday morning I cook your meals in that same kitchen — same ingredients, same technique, same standards I hold on the line. Not meal-kit assembly. Not frozen, not shipped in from a factory in Ontario. Dishes I'd serve at the restaurant, packed for your fridge.

The things people always ask.

Are the meals actually made at Orso?

Yes. Marcin cooks in the Orso Pub kitchen at 1859 Brunswick Street every Monday and Thursday morning. Packed, labeled, and ready for pickup the same afternoon.

Why can you tell me who's cooking — most others can't?

Most meal prep is either factory-scale (national brands shipped from an Ontario facility) or private-kitchen (local operators who don't publish the chef or the address). We publish both — Marcin, at Orso Pub, 1859 Brunswick. That transparency is part of what you're buying.

What meals are in the box?

The menu rotates every week — fish, chicken, pork, pasta, a vegetarian. We post the weekly menu on Instagram (@halifaxchefmeals) before each order cutoff (Sunday 8 PM for Monday, Wednesday 8 PM for Thursday) so you know exactly what's coming.

How long do the meals keep?

3 days in the fridge. Prepared fresh Monday and Thursday mornings — you're eating properly all week.

Do you deliver to my neighborhood?

Launch-week delivery (May 4+): Mon + Thu, 5–9pm. Coverage: Halifax Peninsula, Dartmouth (north end + downtown), Clayton Park, Fairview. Bedford, Sackville, and Cole Harbour are on the expansion list once volume justifies the longer route. Outside the zones? Pickup at Orso is always available Monday and Thursday from 3pm to 9pm.

Can you accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions?

Note your restrictions in the order form. We'll do our best — but can't guarantee a fully allergen-free kitchen. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us directly before ordering.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken online when you place your order. Pickup at Orso or delivery happens Monday or Thursday — whichever you chose at checkout.

What if I miss my pickup window?

Message us the same day and we'll arrange an alternative. We don't want your meals going to waste.

How many boxes do you make each week?

Limited. We're a small operation — quality over quantity. Order early to secure your spot.
